It s no secret lots of us were expecting some news from these Sant Feliu de Guixols guys, after No More Lies broke up some time ago. We couldn t believe such a talented band wouldn t have a second life. Definitely, it was worth the wait, Vistalegre is here to stay. It would be a big mistake to think it s just Santi Garcia s (renowed producer) new solo project. Friendship and common musical tastes with Marc Clos (fourth member of Nueva Vulcano and ex-Virtual Noise) were the turning point to form this new and fresh band, with the invaluable help of the charismatic Roger Ortega (also ex-No More Lies) on drums. After this long hiatus these restless guys are back stronger then ever, ready to eat the world. This new band is the way to express their punk attitude, not other than hit the road whenever is possible, playing small clubs they love so much again, delivering high energy music to blow their audience minds. You can clearly smell their 90 s obsession in their music, a bunch of good songs with strong and powerful melody, where the voice gets the leading role. A meeting point for power and honesty, true features of this band. A perfect match to get things going. They worked hard and fast, writing an astonishing ddictive record, straight in your face punk-rock with a bit of rhythm complexity. Lovers of Kepone, Nada Surf, Replacements or early Posies, will go crazy with this stuff.
